I offer a number of services in the area of antique furniture restoration. The first step is to consult with you, to ensure I achieve the results you're looking for.

On Site

In many cases the furniture can be carefully conserved in your home, without any great expense and certainly no mess. Colouring of blemishes and scratches; reviving old finishes and polishing over if needed; applying various traditional beeswax polishes, to maintain the finish over time.

By days end, your antiques look loved, with everything back in place.

The Workshop

Sometimes there is a little more involved, so the piece heads to the workshop. I collect and deliver your furniture personally, apart from larger pieces, where a Carrier must be employed.

These may include - Traditional Upholstery ; Re-Caning and Rush seating; repairing original Cabinet hardware and Hinges ;  Re-keying old locks; repairs to Gilded surfaces ; intricate Woodcarving and carved repairs.
